The Los Alamos Public Schools Foundation will distribute information that will detail the distribution of funds to LAPS in the form of a press release to the LA Monitor, and on this web site.

Projects Committee Charter
The committee will:

Study input received from teachers surveys of September 2006 and site administrator input received June-August 2006 to determine the best use of Foundation funds for the school year ending May 23, 2008.

Conduct research necessary to determine any terms or conditions of disbursement including grant applications, time limits and recipient reporting.

Make recommendations to the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors at the February 20th meeting.

Make recommendations in writing to the board of directors regarding the intended disbursements no later than the March 5th Board of Directors meeting.

The explanation should:

  • give the rational used in determining the intended appropriation of funds
  • explain any actions required by school personnel
  • give an estimate of the number of students served
  • include any board action required
  • make general recommendations for public relations opportunities for the Foundation
